I can now officially say that my baby shower is less than a month away!
I have been planning it for a while now and everything seems to be in place ready for the day. I will do a blog of the whole day but for now i thought i would just tell you about my invites as i am so in love with them!
I ordered them from a lady called Mariane on Etsy (Link to her page below) she was amazing and very thorough making sure i was happy with the final product before confirming payment and sending.
i wanted something very simple and timeless and obvs nothing to expensive as lets face it they end up in the bin! Although I have kept one to keep forever.
I saw these on her page in pink and asked if i could have them in blue, we decided on what type of blue I was after – I went for a pearlised Tiffany blue but you can have other options. I then sent over the wording i wanted and this was the final outcome.
The quality of the card is amazing and they are all hand made I cannot recommend Mariane enough for parties and events for hand made and personalised party decorations so go check her out for any upcoming parties!
So over the weekend me and Scott decided it was time for us to build the baby’s wardrobe before we managed to finally get the wardrobe up we had a few obstacles first.
i have heard a lot about the nesting phase but i think mine kicked in early!
Back in December i ordered the baby furniture from a company called Wayfair (avoid these at all cost!) they might be cheaper then other stores but totally not worth the hassle. First they told me i should expect delivery in February then when the furniture did arrive it was damaged, i then called and asked for replacements of the damaged panels which then came the same week – Great! We open the new box to find out not all the new panels had been sent 😦 i called Wayfair for them to tell me that i would have to wait until March for replacement! Maybe its me maybe it was my hormones but i broke down in tears and asked them to collect everything! (Dramatic I know)
Instead of ordering a whole new nursery i decided to just buy the wardrobe first so that i could start organising his clothes ready for his arrival. I really like the Obaby Stamford Range so decided to go with these (Link Below).
i ordered the Stamford Double wardrobe in White – the delivery was quick and the quality is amazing and looks so lovely in his little nursery. I will definitely be using this company to order the rest of his furniture.
Before we got to this stage Scott had to build it (daddy duties) while he was doing the heavy lifting and building i was sat giving out my orders and shouting out the instructions but as you can see team work makes the dream work and we managed to build it just under an hour.
So I’m 26 and currently 7 months pregnant expecting a baby boy in May, so far I have had the easiest pregnancy and loving every minute!
It was definitely a shock to the system when me and my partner found out, we always talked about having kids together but when it finally happens it’s the most unreal feeling but to say we are both over the moon is a understatement!
I currently work full time as a PA in Canary Wharf – I love it! I have the nicest bosses and friends. My maternity leave starts at the end of April but I will definitely be returning to work for Friday night drinks with the girls and fizzy lunches – something I cannot live without! (Obvs on the mocktails at the moment).
Its one of the things i have always felt like i would be good at but never gone ahead with it in case i failed or no one found what i wanted to talk about interesting but since falling pregnant with my first baby i thought it might be nice to share my journey and talk about big moments and milestones in my life!
This is not going to be a blog about how to do things the right way (if there even is a right way) but just my views / opinions & stories that i would like to share with you.
